We would like to express deep sympathy to the temples and churches affected by the recent Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake in January 1st 2024, as well as to the congregants and local residents who suffered from this disaster.
At Jodo Shinshu Jitoku-san Tokuzo-ji, we have reported damage to our temple buildings, including the complete and major partial destruction of the main hall and living quarters. We have also received reports of significant damage in the neighboring areas.
Current Local Damage Situation
In light of these circumstances, we have initiated a fundraising campaign for the ‘Reiwa 6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Support Fund’. The donations we receive will be used not only for the reconstruction of the temple but also for the ongoing recovery efforts in the affected areas.
